THICK Records has obtained former Epitaph/Hellcat recording artists, The Gadjits for the THICK roster. Apparently, Hellcat label head and Rancid member Tim Armstrong passed on The Gadjits after hearing the band’s new direction, which draws influence from Elvis Costello and The Black Crowes. The new sound is quite a departure from the rock-steady sounds of The Gadjits past releases. According to singer Brandon Phillips about the change, “It just plain feels good”. I guess you can’t argue with that. Look for The Gadjits new record, Today Is My Day on THICK Records in January
2002 or catch them on the road now.
