Weiland Placed On Injured Reserve

Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland proved that being a rock star is just as masculine as being in the NFL when his camp announced that the singer will need to undergo knee surgery later this year. Scott is trying to prove his toughness as he will actually finish STPís current tour before he goes under the knife. Weiland had felt irritation in his knee after attempting a newly created dance move called “wish I was Jim Morrison.” The star then reportedly seriously re-injured the knee while performing an untitled, experimental sexual position requiring three groupies, a stick of butter, a baseball bat, and a blowfish. No word yet on which knee has been injured but stay tuned to theTripwire.com for up to the minute info.

Stone Temple Pilots end their run with the Family Values Tour on November 17 in Tacoma, Washington and will then play two shows in “Vegas baby” on the 19th and 20th before Weiland hits the O.R. The frontman hopes to return to the dangerous world of Rock Ní Roll for the bands New Yearís Eve show at the hard edged Disney World resort in Orlando. Weiland has also found time to record a version of Depeche Modeís “But Not Tonight” for the soundtrack of Not Another Teen Movie. Due out December 4, the album also features songs by Marilyn Manson, Saliva, and Mest.
