Tuesday Express-Thievery Corp. Compile Verve Faves, Faithless In Car Crash

18th Street Lounge down-tempo groovers Thievery Corporation are due to release a
compilation of their favorite Verve label tracks, come January 29. The tracks, culled from
their personal collections, included swanky jams from Sergio Mendez and Brasil
‘66, Stan Getz, Luis Bonfa and more. One can only imagine the sultry
sounds that will feature on this collection. Guess we’ll know in a month and a
half.

Maxi Jazz vocalist of the multi-dimensional dance act Faithless is in stable
condition with a fractured pelvis after a weekend car crash in England. The band have been
forced to cancel the rest of their UK tour, but, obviously that is of lesser importance. We
wish a speedy recovery to the Jazz and hope the band are back on their way shortly
after the New Year, which is when the band hope to reschedule their canceled dates.
