The behatted Mancunian wonder that is Damon Gough, a.k.a. Badly Drawn
Boy, is following in the UK tradition that is releasing a Christmas single. However,
unlike the all other Christmas singles, he’s not aiming for commercial success. Kinda hard
when you’re only releasing 1000 copies and only on 7″. The single, “Donna and Blizten”,
will also feature on the soundtrack to the film adaptation of Nick Hornby’s
About A Boy, for which Gough, the 2000 Mercury Music Award winner, is
writing the score for, as well. The soundtrack will include many new Badly Drawn
Boy works, including instrumentals.
