Super Furry Animals To Be Unleashed on US Shelves, Soil

Welsh pop mavens Super Furry Animals, whilst still being dissed by Epic Records
in the States, will have their most recent album released in the US next year. Epic, for whom
the band record for in the UK, where they have quite a large following and always receive
critical acclaim, have licensed the US release of Rings Around The World, which
features guest appearances from John Cale and none other than Sir Paul
McCartney himself, to XL Recordings. XL releases are handled in America by the
Beggars Group, who have also announced plans to release a DVD on that same day in
March 2002, making the Super Furries the first act to release a CD and DVD
concurrently. To top it all off, the band will tour the US for the first time in years, starting
just before the album is released. Pop lovers unite!
