Wednesday Express-Noel Gallagher Goes To Cornershop, First Look at SXSW

“Brimful of Asha”-writing superstars Cornershop are readying their first album in
almost 4 years and have roped in none other than Noel Gallagher of Oasis.
Gallagher will feature on “Spectral Mornings” one of the tracks on the
‘Shop’s new record, the first they’ve recorded since 1997’s breakthrough When I
Was Born For The First Time
. The album will hit shelves in the spring, with the first
UK single release being “Lessons Learned From Rocky I to Rocky III.”

With CMJ’s New Music Festival, or hell ever it was called, rumored of being in danger of
being put out to pasture (can I say being again? Please?) America’s pre-eminent music
conference/festival is for sures Austin’s South By Southwest. Those silly Texans have
announced rough plans for this year’s gig, which will take place March 13-17 in the Texas
capital. Bands already in the mix include Girls Against Boys, Man or
Astroman?, Chicks on Speed, Add N To (X) and ex-favorite boy band
Hanson! Of course almost 98349843 more acts will be announced in the coming
months, but we all know it will rule, so make your plans now to get your Shiner Bock on too
many nights in a row…
