Rock Stars Aplenty Rush To Take Part In Ramone Tribute

Punkers, metalheads, and more are stepping forward to pay their respects to the late, great Joey Ramone. Columbia
Records will be dropping a Ramones tribute album this spring, and already
on board are such heavies as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eddie Vedder, The
Offspring, Green Day, Rancid and Rob Zombie. Zombie is reportedly working with Johnny Ramone for his tribute track. No news as to which bands will be rockin’ which tracks, but we know this album is going to rule…they’re Ramones songs! Joey Ramone’s posthumous album, Don’t Worry About Me, featuring Joey’s version of “Wonderful World”, comes out on Sanctuary in early 2002.
