Black Crowes Lose Drummer And More Brain Cells, Stumble Into Hiatus

Atlanta’s long haired burn outs Black Crowes, have gone on a “leave of absence” after their drummer and founding member Steve Gorman officially left the band. Singer Chris Robinson has begun a solo career and the band has been “dry” in the weed department for some time, which might account for all of the unwanted craziness. The Crowes have had more members inside them than a hell’s kitchen prostitute, replacing one lead guitarist and three bassists in just six years. The band recently toured with Oasis on the Brotherly Love tour, and lending a cover of The Beatles tune “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” on the V2 soundtrack to I Am Sam, which was released yesterday.
