Film director Ted Demme died yesterday at the age of 38. Demme, the nephew of fellow film director Jonathan Demme, was rushed to the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center while participating in a celebrity basketball game. Demme was pronounced dead 20 minutes later. The cause of death has yet to be determined. Demme created Yo! MTV Raps, directed Beautiful Girls and most recently Blow with Johnny Depp. Demme will be missed.
