Gorillaz Set To Go Ape At Brit Awards

Cartoon caper kings Gorillaz are fixing for super-stardom in their native Britain
upon news that their debut self-titled album has been nominated for six Brit Awards. The
Dan The Automator and Damon Albarn led ensemble is up for Brits in the
categories of Best Group, Best Single and Video (both for the stellar “Clint Eastwood”), Best
Dance Act, Best Newcomer and Best Album. Their six nominations ties a Brit Award
record, set by Craig David just last year. Also up for several awards are The
Strokes. Dido, Radiohead, Travis and Robbie
Williams, amongst others. The ceremony for the UK version of the Grammy will be
held February 20 in London.
