Bob Mould To Release Modulate, Two Others

With his H¸sker D¸ days behind him, singer / songwriter / guitar player Bob Mould stands poised to release his fifth solo record, Modulate. Mould claimed that his last record, 1998ís The Last Dog and Pony Show would mark the end of his heavy, guitar driven sound, and he has lived up to his word, for the most part. According to rolling stone, the first six tracks of the album find Mould working with an electronic sound almost devoid of guitars entirely. The setís other eight tracks are less of a departure for the star, offering up a more guitar driven sound. Modulate will be released via Mouldís new Granary Music Label on March 12. Bob Mould will also release two other albums this year. In June, he will release a full-fledged electronic album called Long Playing Grooves under the name LoudBomb and in September he plans to release Body of Song, an acoustic album similar to his solo debut, 1989ís Workbook. March will see Mould hitting the road in support of Modulate, where fans will have a chance to get the album and possibly a new live set that was recorded by the BBC some years back.
