Man, the kids in Salt Lake City just love the Rock. Or they will by the time the
Olympics roll around. Each day during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, there will be a
one-hour concert held in Olympic Medals Plaza. The venue, which can hold up to
20,000 heads, will feature gigs from Foo Fighters, Creed, Dave
Matthews Band, Nelly Furtado and more. Not only that, but between the
Opening and Closing ceremonies, also throw in Bon Jovi, Christina
Aguilera, Alanis Morissette, and Sting, amongst many others.
Looks like the United States with the most bands (gold), Canada as runners-up, and
Great Britain in with the bronze medal (at least just by eyeballing it). Man, does it get
any more exciting than this? Don’t answer that…
