Talking Heads Unite For Hall Of Fame Gig

Frontman David Byrne, guitarist Jerry Harrison, drummer Tina Weymouth, and bassist Chris Frantz, known collectively as the Talking Heads, will perform together for the first time in more than ten years at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The event takes place on March 18 at New Yorkís Waldorf Astoria Hotel, and will also be broadcast on VH1 two days later. The announcement of the perhaps short-lived reunion comes as a shock to most everyone, as Byrne took legal action against his old band mates in 1996 to prevent them from touring as the Heads. According to Billboard, the group will play two songs at the ceremony, though which two have not been decided as of yet.

Weymouth and Franzís Tom Tom Club outfit is currently working on new studio material and has also completed a live album that is ready for release as soon as a distribution deal can be firmed up. The two Heads also recently collaborated with the X-ecutioners on a remix of the Tom Tom Clubís “Genius of Love.” That treasure will invade your eardrums via the X-ecutionersí forthcoming album Built From Scratch.
