Coachella Gathers The Biggest Names In Rock, Hip-Hop And Electronica

Bj?rk and Oasis will co-headline the third installment of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which is set to take place April 27 and 28 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California. The bill is packed full of todayís brightest stars, including Foo Fighters, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, and B.R.M.C. Bj?rk will close the festivities on the first night, with Oasis following suit the second. Mos Def, DJ Paul Oakenfold, and Ozomatli are all returning for repeat performances at the festival, as they all participated last year. Electronic artists set to tear up the one’s and two’s include Sasha & Digweed, St. Germain, Tiesto, and Groove Armada, while hip-hop acts, Dilated Peoples, Jurassic 5, and KRS-One will rock the mic. English downtempo duo, Zero 7, will headline the second stage on day two of the festival, in support of their acclaimed Quango / Palm release Simple Things. Another of the UK’s finest, Belle & Sebastian, have also signed on. According to Billboard tickets for the event will go on sale March 2, with one-day passes going for $65. Two-day admission will also be available at a discount, though exactly how much has yet to be determined.
