Director McG Will Sit Behind The Lens For The New SuperMcMan

Charlie’s Angels director McG will direct the new Superman movie, which has no title, no script, and no Superman. A new screenplay will be written by Alias and Felicity creator J.J. Abrams, who will no doubt bang out a super story line. Kevin Smith wrote a treatment when the project first got the green light, but when the director at the time Tim Burton read it, he hated it and fired Smith, ensuing an ongoing ìwar of the nerds.î Burton and then caped crusader Nicholas Cage, have both left the project, and despite my request Warner Bros. still refuses to call Christopher Reeve to revise the role. The last Superman picture, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, bored theaters 15 years ago, and the new Superman movie could possibly be released within two years according to E Online. McG will also direct Charlieís Angels 2: Halo, reuniting Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Lui for more angelic ass kicking, which will be released in June 2003.
