LA-based rap outfit, Dilated Peoples, are set to headline the upcoming Scratch Tour. The tour, which will also feature GrandWizzard Theodore, Z-Trip, and The Original Jazzy Jay, as well as a rotating troop of guest DJs, will kick off March 5th in San Francisco and wrap March 22 in Atlanta. According to musicremedy.com, the musical entertainment will be coupled with screenings of the Palm Pictures DJ documentary Scratch. The film, directed by Doug Pray (”Hype”), looks at hip-hop inspired DJs like Q-Bert, DJ Shadow and Mixmaster Mike, and traces the evolution of “turntablism.” The film opened February 15 in select US cities.
