Tuesday Express – Gorillaz Hittin’ Big Screen, Here Comes Travis’ Sun

Cartoon ¸ber-band Gorillaz are set to take their craft from the small screen to a
bigger one. Band animator Jamie Hewlett has started work on a project to make a
full-length animated work starring the band. The soundtrack to the film is believed to be the
Grammy-nominated act’s second album. According to nme.com, Hewlett claims
the film will be “very dark…perhaps with cannibals and zombies. I think it may be called
‘Celebrity Harvest.’”

Everyone’s favorite Scottish tunesmiths Travis are paying their respects to the late
Beatle George Harrison by including a cover of one of his songs on their new
single. The band are set to release their version of “Here Comes The Sun” as a b-side to
their upcoming UK single, “Flowers In The Window,” the third single to be issued from
2001’s spectacular The Invisible Band. The single hits shelves in the UK on March
25.
