Massive Attack Enlists Sinead O’ Connor

Trip-hop pioneers and all-round stoners Massive Attack are finally readying their
fourth studio album and have announced that Sinead O’ Connor features on vocals
on two tracks. The album, whose track listing is said to have been pared down from over
850 options, is the first for the Bristolian beat factory since 1998’s brilliant
Mezzanine and is due out late this summer. According to massiveattack.com, the
unnamed album will once again feature string arrangements from Craig Armstrong,
who has worked with them before, as well as done work on Madonna’s Ray Of
Light
, amongst other albums. More news as it becomes available for 2002’s
front-runner for Blunted Record Of The Year.
