The London Suede Polishing Up New Album

Londonís original indie band, The London Suede, are nearing completion on their eagerly awaited fifth album. According to a label spokesperson, the band is basically finished recording and mixing is well underway. The new album, currently using the joke title Subject to Nicotine Stains, is being produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, Idlewild, Cranberries) and is now scheduled for a fall release. Frontman Brett Anderson says the new record will be “coherent and quite short, with 10 or 11 absolute gems.” The London Suede also have a DVD completed and will be holding an exclusive premier of the video compilation, entitled Suede: Lost In TV, on Saturday, March 30 at Cinema Classics in NYC. The presentation will include a short film by Simon Gilbert, previously unreleased videos, and a live-music set of Suede songs. The festivities begin at 8p.m.
