New Liz Phair Songs Featured On Julie Johnson Soundtrack

Veteran indie-rock songstress Liz Phair will release three new tracks as part of the soundtrack to the Sundance Film Festival favorite Julie Johnson. According to Pitchforkmedia.com, the new songs are entitled “Appletree,” “Faded” and “Sheís Gone.” Also included on the soundtrack album, which is expected to be released later this year via Shooting Gallery, is “Uncle Alvarez,” from Phairís 1998 effort whitechocolatespaceegg. Julie Johnson is a film starring Lili Taylor as a New Jersey housewife with dumps her husband, studies theoretical physics and gets her groove on with Courtney Love. The film will also be released later this year by Universal Focus, who was responsible for bringing us the ballet dancing comedic stylings of Billy Elliot.
