A DVD release from pioneering UK trip-hop act Massive Attack will hit the stores today (April 9) via Virgin. The DVD, entitled Eleven Promos, will include all of the groupís videos compiled in their full-length, directorís cut form. Featured videos include the previously unreleased “Angel,” as well as “Protection” and “Teardrop,” which were both awarded “Video of the Year” awards by MTV Europe. According to Billboard, Massive Attack will donate royalties from the release to the Red Cross, with Virgin matching the groupís contribution. Surprisingly, none of the standard DVD special features will be included on the release. Even the packaging will be nothing special, consisting of only a clear plastic case. However, those who purchase the DVD will be able to download cover art on the web via a specially created micro site. Massive Attack will release their as-yet-untitled fourth Virgin album this summer, which features a pair of tracks with guest vocals by Irish songstress Sinead OíConnor.
