By The Way, Chili Peppers Eyeing August Release Date

Everyoneís favorite funk rockers, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, have revealed the title for the follow-up to Californication. The new record will be titled By The Way and according to frontman Anthony Kiedis, “Itís going to spank your assÖ in a good way.” The albumís release date has been pushed back from June to August, as the band is spending time giving the songs multiple layers, according to MTV. Legendary producer Rick Rubin, who has a longstanding relationship with the Chili Peppers, will once again be behind the boards for By The Way. The band has two weeks of European festival dates scheduled for late June, but, sadly, US dates in support of the album have yet to be set.
