Contrary to previous speculative reports, Perry Farrell, Iggy Pop, and Ben Harper will remain active members of the Virgin roster. This comes as a surprise as rumors have been circulating for the last month that all three artists were dropped from Virgin as a result of a restructuring at parent company EMI and the arrival of new chairman/CEO Matt Serletic. However, according to Launch.com, both Farrell and Harper are currently recording new material for upcoming projects and Iggy is “writing” for his next release. In regards to these artistsí future at the label, Serletic said, “The Virgin Records Family remains committed to the success of these artists.”
