Built To Spill Frontman Will Release Solo Debut This Summer

Doug Martsch, frontman of the Boise, Idaho indie troop Built To Spill, will release his debut solo album this September on entertainment giant Warner Bros. Entitled Now You Know, the album was recorded two years ago in Martschís home studio, and has been described as a blusey departure by Pitchforkmedia.com. The frontman is currently planning a summer tour in support of Now You Know, sans band, though dates have yet to be nailed down. Built To Spill will likely enter the studio this fall to record the follow-up to 2001ís Ancient Melodies of the Future.
