Morrissey Awakes From 2-Year Asexual Hibernation

Morrissey will perform for the first time since 2000 at this yearís Summer Sonic festival in Japan. The adored singerís last studio album was Maladjusted, which came and went back in 1997 on Mercury. According to Billboard.com, the former focal point of The Smiths is close to signing a new deal with Sanctuary, although that statement is meaningless until the ink on the contract is dry. The Summer Sonic festival will take place on August 17 (Tokyo) and 18 (Osaka) in Japan. Joining Morrissey (and his bodyguards) will be Quarashi, The Offspring, No Doubt, Cornershop, A, Cave In, NOFX, Sum 41, Andrew W.K., Disturbed, Cornershop, the Hives, Haven, Rival Schools, and Ozma. Guns Ní Roses will also make an appearance, although no one really asked them to come. Their long-awaited album Chinese Democracy is somewhere, with someone, doing something, other than going on sale to the public.
