Fatboy Slim Lays Out Live on Brighton Beach

Fatboy Slim will release a new live album, recorded last summer in the DJ’s hometown of Brighton, England. The Fat one (real name Norman Cook) threw a free pajamma jammy jam on the beach, clocking in at two hours, and cramming 35,000 dance mongers on to the pebbly beach. According to cnn.com, the lengthy set included Basement Jaxx, Leftfield, and from what we have seen in the past from Cook, a number of his own tracks thrown in for good promotional measure. The record will be titled Live on Brighton Beach and will be released on Norman Cookís own imprint, Southern Fried Records, on June 11. Fatboy Slim will host the same event again this year in Brighton, which is now being dubbed ìNormstockî by the local council.
