Cirrus Announce Industry Showcase In L.A.

To promote the upcoming release of their new album Counterfeit, due in stores on June 25, Cirrus will perform a live showcase Wednesday, May 8, at 1650 in Los Angeles. The private event is an industry-exclusive engagement, and anyone interested can R.S.V.P. at reception@moonshine.com. The dream of Cirrus became a reality in 1993 when DJ and bassist Aaron Carter and guitarist/keyboardist Stephen Barry delivered their demo to Moonshine Music. Since that pivotal moment, the electronic dance brigade has released two mind-altering records: Drop the Break in 1997 and 1998’s Back On A Mission. Cirrus have also licensed their music to numerous major motion pictures including Snatch, Zoolander, and Big Trouble, as well as video games like Mortal Combat II and Gran Turismo 3. Cirrus recently rocked Coachella and will relinquish their first single ìBoomerangî to commercial specialty shows this month. The collective will also bring their exciting live show to stages across the country this summer. Counterfeit, colorfully coated with eye-smashing artwork from visual artist Freddi C, is a glorious sensation of pulsating dance beats, rhythms, and the occasional rhymes, and will see the light of day on June 25.
