Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Jason Loewenstein (Sebadoh) Go Solo For Sub Pop

Two prominent members from two of the independent rock scene’s most beloved bands will both release solo albums in the near future. Isaac Brock, the singer/guitarist for Modest Mouse, will unveil his Ugly Casanova project on May 21 with a debut entitled Sharpen Your Teeth. The natives at Sub Pop confirm that members of The Black Heart Procession, and Red Red Meat are in for effect for this highly anticipated release. A full US tour will go down later this year possibly with a different Ugly Casanova lineup from those heard on the record. Jason Loewenstein of Sebadoh fame (who are, “not dead, just asleep”) will release his solo debut titled At Sixes and Sevens on July 9. This record truly is a spotlight on Jasonís solo work, as the guitar and bass playing, drumming, singing, and even record pressing duties were carried out by Beantown boy.
