Tuesday Express-Bjork Hit Package Due in Fall; Ozzy Sings For the Queen!

Icelandic space princess and Anthony Holland’s dream girl, Bjork, is set to release
a greatest hits CD later this year. Although details are sketchy at this point, Bjork’s UK
label, One Little Indian, will be culling the chanteuse’s hits for the compilation, and all studio
albums are believed to be represented. A new track or two may even feature on the hits package,
due out in September.

Is this the Year of the Bat or something in some country’s mythology? It sure has been
Ozzy Osbourne’s year and now comes news that he’s been invited to perform for the
Queen of England’s Golden Jubilee??!?! What is happening here? The man who sang
“Crazy Train” and “Shot In The Dark” is going to sing for the figurehead of the English
monarchy at her Palace Pop Concert? Has the world gone insane? Ricky Martin is due
to perform at the June 3 gig, as well, but he’s just a pop puppet and not very amusing.
Ozzy joins other previously announced luminaries such as Sir Paul McCartney,
Eric Clapton, Beach Boy Brian Wilson and queen of Motown, Aretha
Franklin. As long as Aretha doesn’t borrow any luggage from Psychic Friend
Dionne Warwick, all should be good.
