Members of QOTSA and Rage Team Up for Film Soundtrack

Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri of Queens of the Stone Age have hooked up with Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk to record a number of songs to be used on the upcoming soundtrack for The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. According to allstarnews.com, the soundtrack will see release on June 11 through Milan Records and features 20+ tracks composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream 3, Blade II) and Homme. Songs by Canned Heat and Stephen Stills will also show up on the CD. The film, which stars Jodie Foster and Vincent DíOnofrio, is based on a book of the same title by the late author Chris Fuhrman. The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys will be released on June 14 and is distributed by ThinkFilm. If youíve watched the news at all lately, youíll be able to think up a few reasons why being an alter boy would be dangerous, but, from what Iíve read about the film, it doesnít tackle those “touchy” priest/perv issues.
