The White Stripes are working on the follow up the 2001’s breakthrough explosion, White Blood Cells, at Toerag Studios in Hackney, England, NME reports. The wearers of white and red clothes, who are taking advantage of the vintage equipment offered at Toerag, have been working on new material over the past few weeks and also recorded some demos back in January. Jack and Meg (who oddly enough performed an intimate lounge set in my dreams last night) are thinking about releasing the yet untitled album in early 2003, but may also release a new track as a single when they play Carling Weekend Festival at Reading and Leeds in August. White Blood Cells was redistributed by V2 earlier this year, and you should definitely check out the band’s previous albums De Stijl and the self-titled debut.
