Weezer’s new album Maldaroit, despite sounding like a cross between steaming buffalo shit and rotting hippo dung, skyrocketed to number 3 on the Billboard chart selling 151,976 copies. According to Allstar, scruffy looking singer Rivers Cuomo told a reporter that Weezer have invited The Strokes and Dashboard Confessional out on tour later this summer for a six week bonanza. Dashboard Confessional, who have been blowing up like you knew they would, have been performing a ton of summer radio festivals, and have already accepted Weezer’s invitation. The Strokes have not confirmed any plans, but were only expected to play alongside a few dates, while Dashboard will serenade the young for the entire tour. The official dates will be posted soon, so back off.
