Alien Ant Farm, Silverchair Cancel Respective Summer Tours

Taking a cue from Creedís Scott Stapp, AAF frontman Dryden Mitchell has pulled the plug on the bandís remaining summer tour dates. Mitchell suffered injuries May 22 when the bandís bus was involved in an accident and may be forced to undergo back surgery. Let’s just hope he can make a full recovery and will still be able to unleash his trademarked drunken Frankenstein dance when Alien Ant Farm return to the tour circuit. In related tour cancellation news, Aussie rockers Silverchair, who were set to make a triumphant US return this summer, have also been forced to cancel their upcoming tour. According to Launch.com, singer-songwriter Daniel Johns has a severe case of reactive arthritis, which causes severe swelling of the joints and impaired movement. Silverchair was gearing up to tour the world this summer in support of their latest album, Diorama, which is scheduled to drop July 30.
