Queens Of The Stone Age Score Altar Boys Flick

One of the coolest underground films of the summer, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, just got cooler. MTV reports that Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri, otherwise known as Queens Of The Stone Age, have penned the music for the ìbuzzerificî filmís score. The picture revolves around a gang of catholic schoolboys who are anything but clean-cut and holy. The kids smoke, drink, and swear like sailors, while Jodie Foster plays the nun from hell, as she terrorizes the boys beyond belief. At points in the film, real life characters transition into some sweet-ass animation courtesy of Todd McFarlane, which adds to the filmís dark and eerie storyline and separates it from the bullshit like Scooby-Doo and Windtalkers. Along with Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, QOTSA banged out five songs for the flick, while Scream and Blade II composer Marco Beltrami finished up the rest of the soundtrack which along with the film are available to be experienced right now. Queens of the Stone Age will release their third album, Songs For The Deaf, on Interscope on August 13. The album features help from Dave Grohl and Mark Lanegan, and it will beat your ass into a senseless coma when you check it so ready yourself now, punks!
