With most of their summer already plotted as part of the eclectic Unlimited Sunshine Tour, The Flaming Lips have decided to warm up with a series of dates in the UK, beginning with a July 1 kick off in Dublin. The lips, whoís latest Warner Bros. effort will drop July 16 in the form of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, are working hard to develop stage-ready versions of the new songs. According to Billboard, The Flaming Lips will, as they have in the past, use pre-recorded tracks to help replicate the albumís textured arrangements. The albumís first single, “Do You Realize?” has been tearing up commercial specialty radio as of late, landing atop R&Rís commercial specialty chart for two consecutive weeks.
