Everyoneís favorite red and white clad, brother/sister (ex-husband/wife), Detroit-based blues duo, The White Stripes, have chosen a third single from White Blood Cells, according to MTV. The Stripes will go with ìDead Leaves and a Dirty Groundî/ when I know youíre not around/ (sorry I canít help myself). Shiny tops and soda pops/ when I hear your lips make a sound/ when I hear your lips make a sound! (OK, thatís it. I promise). The video for the new single, which I wonít mention again because it forces me to unexplainably recite the rest of the song, will be shot by Michel Gondry. You may know Gondry as the man responsible for The White Stripesí Lego action video for ìFell in Love with a Girl,î or perhaps his equally groundbreaking work with Bjork, Cibo Matto, and Radiohead. There is no word from V2 as to when we can expect to catch this video, but I have a feeling that it will be playing on MTV somewhere near 10 times an hour. Just a personal note: Jack and Meg, I know youíre really popular now but please donít go on TRL. Seriously guys, stay away from Carson Daly (and Winona Ryder).
