Olympia, Washington-based indie darlings Sleater-Kinney will release their sixth full length on August 20 via Kill Rock Stars. According to Pitchforkmedia, the first pressing of the album, entitled One Beat, will be packaged with a bonus disc containing some ìextra goodies.î To celebrate the release, Sleater-Kinney will play three shows in July before rocketing across the States for a full-blown tour in September. The One Beat tour is scheduled to kick off in Denver on the most ominous of all possible dates, September 11. The trio will then tap Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington, with East Coast and Midwest dates in the works for the fall.
