Jimmy Eat World, Promise Ring Sign on for NHN Benefit

The line up for the second annual Plea for Peace/Take Action tour will include Jimmy Eat World, The Promise Ring, Cave In, Cursive, Le Tigre, Anti-Flag, Lawrence Arms, and more. Tour sponsors practice what they preach (take action), as 10% of the tourís gross ticket sales will go to benefit the National Hopeline Network (1-800-Suicide), a nationwide crisis counseling service. Though a full itinerary is still unavailable, according to Allstarnews, the tour will kick off on September 13 in Worchester, MA, and run through October 28 in a yet-to-be-determined city. Tour sponsors Sub City and Asian Man Records are also in the process of pulling together a benefit CD to coincide with the tour. It will feature songs from Anti-Flag, Common Rider, Lawrence Arms, Finch, and more and will become available on August 20, hopefully at least matching the success of last yearís CD, which has sold over 60,000 units.
