Belle & Sebastian Seal Worldwide Deal With Rough Trade

Scottish folk darlings Belle & Sebastian have parted ways with their long time labels Jeepster (UK) and Matador (US), thetripwire.com can exclusively report. On July 12, B&S inked a new four-record worldwide deal with Rough Trade Records. The band recently toured the U.S., lost their founding female voice Isobel Campbell, and dropped what appears to be their final album on Matador, Storytelling, the score and soundtrack to the Todd Solondz film of the same name. The crew are currently rehearsing for the Peel Acres session, which will be broadcast live on BBC Radio One on July 25.
