Indie rockers the Preston School of Industry will join Wilco on the road beginning this weekend (July 19) in Indianapolis, IN. Wilco also brought Preston School of Industry along for the ride on their successful spring European tour. According to the bandís official website, Wilco and PSOI will hit 11 cities together on the US trek, ending their touring companionship with a two-night-stand in Wilcoís home base of Chicago. Wilco will actually be stopping in12 cities, but singer/songwriter Paul K will take PSOIís place on the July 21 gig in Louisville, KY. After a month off following the Chicago dates, Wilco will continue on to hit the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, WA, on September 2 and Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA, on September 5.
In other Wilco news, filmmaker Sam Jonesí documentary on the band, I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, which gives fans a intimate look at the making of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, will open in Chicago and New York on July 26. It will also see release in LA on August 2, followed by a national release at an undisclosed date.
