Oakenfold, Crystal Method, Photek, Give Signs Sound Cue A Facelift

Is everyone familiar with a sound cue? Do you remember the freaky two-note cue from Jaws when someone was about to be torn limb from limb by a gigantic shark? Or how about the screechy, high-pitched noise from Psycho in the shower scene? Right, now you get it. Well, this summer’s biggest blockbuster, M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs, has a chilling sound cue of its own and what better way to get people talking than to have some of the world’s hottest DJs give it a once-over? The Crystal Method, Photek and the ever-present Paul Oakenfold have all put their unique spin on the Signs sound cue, giving it a life all its own.

The remixes are not available for sale, nor can they be heard on radio. Clubs, the Film’s website , Launch.com, and the Tripwire.com are the only places where they can be heard. So check out the Signs remixes and when you get to the theater to see this movie, which opens Friday, listen for the sound cue. It’s the part that comes right before you jump out of your seat screaming or right before you wet yourself. It depends how much you’ve had to drink. I’d stick with a medium Vanilla Coke if I were you.
