Liam Gallagher Leaves Fans Hanging at US Tour Opening

On the opening night of Oasis’ US tour, singer Liam Gallagher walked off stage only four songs into the show. According to NME, the pompous frontman’s voice had gone “awry” during “Go Let It Out” and he was forced to call it quits, much to the dismay of Fort Lauderdale’s sold out Pompano Beach Amphitheater. The show did go on, however, as big brother Noel decided to take over vocal duties for a couple songs with the band. Noel then played an eight track acoustic set ending with “Wonderwall” – a song he had vowed never to play again live after his split with ex-wife Meg Matthews. Oasis camp are blaming Liam’s strained vocal chords on “the long plane flight to Florida,” though with the band’s long history of bickering and on stage antics, anything is possible. Maybe Noel sat in Liam’s seat at the dinner table earlier that evening?
