Asian Man Records, owned by former Skankin’ Pickle horn blower Mike Park, will release a compilation disc of unsigned bands in January 2003. The original label of Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms, Blue Meanies, and Less Than Jake, are seeking submissions in all formats: punk, ska, indie, hardcore, reggae, and rap. Interested parties should send no more than two songs to Asian Man Records, Attention: Compilation, P.O. Box 35585, Monte Sereno, CA 95030-5585 before the September 1 deadline. Asian Man will release the highly anticipated split single of Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio) and Kevin Seconds (7 Seconds) soon…that’s what they keep telling us anyway.
