Some notable names, including Tom Waits, Billy Bragg & Wilco, Sarah McLauchlan, Cake, and Remy Zero to name a few, have teamed up with Nettwerk America and VH1 Save the Music Foundation to create a children’s music compilation called For the Kids. According to Billboard, the album will see a portion of its proceeds donated to Save the Music – a non-profit organization whose goal is to restore music education programs in schools throughout the country and to raise awareness about the importance of music education for our nation’s youth. All you parents out there, look for For the Kids on October 22. It has got to be better than Barney.
