Queens of the Stone Age Announce Drummer For Upcoming Tour

Queens of the Stone Age have announced that former Failure and Blinker The Star drummer Kellii Scott will fill in as the touring drummer on this summer’s tour. FMQB told us that Scott has been rehearsing into the wee hours of the night with Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri, Mark Lanegan, and old Failure pal Troy Van Leeuwen. The mind-melting tour will kick off on August 30 in D.C. with And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. Dave Grohl appeared on the new album, Song For The Deaf (available now with limited DVD), and toured earlier this year with the Queens, but will now focus on all things Foo. The Fighters will release their new single “All My Life” on September 10 and drop the new record, One By One, on October 22.
