On October 22, Thirsty Ear records will release Legends Bleed, a new record from Marky Ramone. The 20 track disc will feature 16 new studio cuts as well as 4 Ramones covers (”I Don’t Care,” “Beat on the Brat,” “Rockaway Beach” and “Glad to See You Go”) performed
from their New Year’s Eve concert live in Berlin, Germany. The past two years have been rough for fans and members of The Ramones, and Marky sent us this brief message describing it all. ìThe new century turned out to be a handful of expected and unexpected
events. First, the passing of Joey Ramone, then the Ramones receiving the
lifetime achievement award from MTV, along with the band being inducted to
the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Then my best friend Dee Dee Ramone passing
away three weeks after the Rock & Roll ceremony. To pick myself up out of this onslaught of good and bad, the Speedkings
asked me if I would record the CD with them.”
