Graham Coxon Gone From Blur?

Here is the latest update on the Blur debacle. Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) has been working with Blur as producer on their new record, and says that guitarist Graham Coxon has definitely left the band. NME tells us that Coxon recently revealed that no one from the band told him that they had been recording new songs in Morocco. Cook said Blur have not broken up but did say, “Graham has left” he told Evening Session in Northern Ireland. He also stated that Coxon hadn’t written any songs on the album before he split (supposedly after a fight with Damon Albarn). “No. He didn’t turn up to the recording and that was the final straw,” he told the New Music Express. Up to this point, Coxon has insisted that he is still in the band, but who the hell knows at this point in the game. Blur expects to release the new record, which at this point has about 25 completed songs, by January 2003.
