Shellac Seals Up East Coast Dates For October

Steve Albini, who has worked with The Breeders, Nirvana, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, and dozens more, will take his merry band Shellac on the East Coast for a 13-date tour in October. Shellac, whose last album 1,000 Hurts came out in 2001, recently curated the 2002 All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the UK, which featured the crËme de la crËme of independent bands that Albini has produced in the past. Shellac will be joined by the obscure talents of Bellini, Danielson Famile, Nina Nastasia, and the Oxes. The short stint kicks off at the Skinny in Portland, Maine, on October 10. We don’t know if Albini’s girlfriend Heather Whinna will be at the shows, but if you see her – run like hell! We heard that she was recently bitten in the neck by a badger and now has a severe case of rabies.
