Gallagher Brothers Support Graham Coxon In Blur Dispute

In the seemingly never-ending feud between Blur and Oasis comes news that, shock of shocks, Oasis backs Graham Coxon in his falling out with Damon Albarn. Albarn had denied that Coxon had left Blur, but all signs are pointing toward that he has, in fact, left the band. Also, it appears that Damon is using his new found success in Gorillaz as a badge of honor and may be trying to use it for further power inside Blur. Now the brothers Gallagher are jumping in with mouths blazing. The pair, who have always hated Albarn and bassist Alex James, but claimed to like Coxon and drummer Dave Rowntree are stirring the shit again.

In an interview with the NME, Noel said, “in Damon Albarn’s last couple of interviews he was saying that Blur should be grateful to have him in and it’s good for them that he’s in Gorillaz and stuff like that, well it’s only gonna go one way, innit? You can’t be saying things like that to your bandmates you’ve grown up with. Saying ‘well, now that I’ve done all these things I’m doing you a favour being in this band’.” He continued on to mention, “If I ever came into the rehearsal rooms and said to this lot, ‘Look, it’s in your interests I’m in this group’, they’d just laugh at me. You’d get an amp on yer ‘ead, a kick up the arse and ’see yer later’.” Liam conveniently chimed in with,

“They should’ve split up a long time ago. Are they gonna get another guitarist?” More to follow, for sure, but this just goes to show why rock star brawls RULE and why the UK music scene is so much better than ours, ‘cos this kind of shit happens all the time.
