Coldplay DVD In The Works, But Still A Ways Off

The live act of the moment, Coldplay, are planning on releasing a live DVD in the coming year or two. The footage would consist of film from the making of the band’s debut album, Parachutes, as well as performance material, backstage and traveling hijinx and, as bassist Guy Berryman, the cameraman in the band, told Rolling Stone, a lot of “stupid stuff.” He continued to say that,

“I take loads of stuff. I’ve got about 200 hours of making (Parachutes) as well. I don’t film everything because it just gets boring after a while. You get the same things — here’s another dressing room, oh, another dressing room!”
As an example of the “stupid stuff,” Berryman thinks that singer Chris Martin was captured inhaling helium to hit higher notes on “God Put A Smile On Your Face” recently at a show in Toronto. Don’t expect the DVD too soon, however, as Guy plans on taping still for another year.
